Blog goals 2016

Goals, don't we just love them? I apply goals to pretty much every aspect of my life. And now I've actually decided to put pen to paper on my blogs goals for the rest of 2016. I'm fully aware we are practically at the end of the year but with a new job on the horizon and with a chance to channel more energy into my blog I feel that it is quite fitting to do this post. So what would I like to achieve by New Year's Eve?  Firstly get one of my YouTube videos to 1000 views and if I'm really lucky double my subscribers to 50.  Try and reach 1750 worth of Instagram followers, if anything this will be the hardest, because no matter how hard I try with this platform I tend to find its a little bit like taking one step forward two steps back. I'm hopefully going to reach this by posting more good quality content and engaging more with new followers. To do Vlogmas. Whether this will happen is another story, perhaps I will aim for a mix of vlogs and blogs? ...

Jim Jams Brownies

Image
This was probably my favourite thing I've received through my front door, Jim Jams Chocolate Spread*. I got a chance to try the hazelnut chocolate spread and also the milk chocolate spread, personally the hazelnut chocolate spread is my favourite, only because y'know its similar to Nutella (no point beating around the bush is there?). So whats so good about Jim Jams Spreads? Well, all their products have considerably less sugar then most spreads, their jams have higher fruit content but less sugar in them. The chocolate spread has 83% less sugar than other chocolate spreads. The spread contains Maltitol, which is a sugar alcohol found naturally in some fruit and veg, this is how Jim Jams creates their chocolately goodness, at a lower sugar content. The spreads are suitable for vegetarians and are gluten free, they are also suitable for diabetics. As the chocolate spread contains less sugar it also means it has less calories, which means you can eat twice as much!...

Clicking Unfollow

Image
Ahh the classic unfollow . Recently I've seen tweets floating around about unfollowing on social media platforms obviously lots of people have their views on it. Some people feeling there isn't any point getting upset about it, others saying not to feel guilty about clicking unfollow etc. And I'll be honest I can see both sides of the story.  With Twitter, if someone follows me and I check out their feed and discover its all blog pushing tweets then its unlikely that I'll follow you. I tend to follow people back/ or just follow people on twitter if I've had a conversation with them and feel like I would get on with them in the real world or obviously if I really like their blog/business. I follow people if they have a good mix of blog promotes and talking to other users and giving me a little insight to their lives. I tend to unfollow if someone doesn't really tweet anymore or if they drunk tweet every night that they hate their ex boyfriend.  ...

My Current Thoughts on the Blogging World

Let's all be extremely honest, I hardly ever post anymore, and you know what?! It's kind of annoying. Because when I started blogging 2 years ago it gave me so much excitement. And now I don't even know what to blog about. I absolutely love taking pictures it's my by far my favourite part of making a blog post, and I think now, I tend to just post on Instagram because photography is more my thing. The other day a girl went to me 'I don't even get why people blog, it's so pointless' she also asked me why I blogged, and at the time I was like um. And annoyingly I knew the answer but I didn't say anything. So now I'm going to say it, I initially set up my blog because I was studying theatrical makeup at university and obviously to build up my kit I would then need to buy products and I thought people could really benefit from knowing a little more about these products, so Ohhsorosie was born. But now, working full time I don't really do make...

Outfit post | New Look Skirt

Image
From my recent Instagram posts I could imagine it's pretty obvious that I went on holiday, and whilst I didn't get many shots of the Sissi I did make my boyfriend an 'Instagram boyfriend' for a few days. This outfit was my favourite look from the trip. I picked up the pleated midi skirt from New look, as I had been dying to get way back in May. I managed to get this beauty in the sale. The crop top is from good old topshop last year.  I wanted to mix up textures with this look, but I also love how the pastel blue and vibrant coral work really well together.  I'm really looking forward to wearing this look again, I just need a fancy event to go too!  Top - Topshop (couldn't find anything similar!) Skirt - New look (Asos -  similar ) Heels - Miss Selfridge ( similar ) Hope you enjoyed this post!  Rosie  x If you like my blog posts why not have a look at my new Youtube ...

20 thoughts you have when you're 24 (or any age)

Image
So I think it's common knowledge to think that when you hit  24 you'll have everything in plan, everything figured out and organised, cept it's not. You tend to question life, and consider if you should be having a quarterly life crisis. So I compiled 20 thoughts I've had since turning 24 (okay anyone in their 20s). 1. You fully thought you'd have your dream job, with lots of money. And in reality you're questioning why you weren't scouted as some sort of child star. 2. Am I now in my mid twenties or my early twenties?!  3. Council tax or new shoes, council tax or new shoes?!? Council tax...being thrown out on the street doesn't sound too fun. Or having people round to take your stuff also doesn't sound fun either.... Maybe I'll resort to my student diet of cheese on toast so I can afford both. 4. Do I buy this super cute notebook, or a boring navy one to look more profesh?! ( and then buy the cute one because, duh personality)  5. You'd be a...

Benefit | Dew the Hoola | Review

Image
A liquid bronzer I hear you say? Now liquid bronzes aren't necessarily new too the beauty halls, but they are certainly becoming more popular, I've noticed lots of brands coming out with bronzing liquids. I decided to hop on the bandwagon and see whether a liquid bronzes was as scary/strange as I first thought. Having fallen in love with Benefits matte bronzer; Hoola I decided to give Benefit's Dew the Hoola a go. I did have this tried out at a counter before I purchased this, and I liked that it seemed like quite a versatile product, the girl demoing the product literally mixed it in to a foundation. Which I kind of liked, if I'm a rush it's nice to know I could potentially mix this product in to my foundation.  However if I have lots of time, I have been putting this on separately. I have applied this all over my face followed by my foundation, which I love doing. I also love using this as a base contour followed by my foundation, and then topped up wi...
