Benefit | Dew the Hoola | Review

Image
A liquid bronzer I hear you say? Now liquid bronzes aren't necessarily new too the beauty halls, but they are certainly becoming more popular, I've noticed lots of brands coming out with bronzing liquids. I decided to hop on the bandwagon and see whether a liquid bronzes was as scary/strange as I first thought. Having fallen in love with Benefits matte bronzer; Hoola I decided to give Benefit's Dew the Hoola a go. I did have this tried out at a counter before I purchased this, and I liked that it seemed like quite a versatile product, the girl demoing the product literally mixed it in to a foundation. Which I kind of liked, if I'm a rush it's nice to know I could potentially mix this product in to my foundation.  However if I have lots of time, I have been putting this on separately. I have applied this all over my face followed by my foundation, which I love doing. I also love using this as a base contour followed by my foundation, and then topped up wi...

Lush Cosmetics Tangled Hot Oil Treatment

Image
In recent months I have been bypassing the hair care section of Lush due to a bit of a 'meh' experience with their Shampoo Bars... having said that my ex housemate used to swear by the Shampoo bars and solid conditioners, so I think those products are kind of an 'each to their own' case. Lush Cosmetics Tangled However after a few Blog and Instagram posts popped up mentioning the Hot Oil treatments I got interested. Whilst I continued to bypass the hair care section, I did cast a cheeky glance at these oil treatments a few times and finally (about 2 weeks ago). I got one. I chose the Tangled Treatment due to the fact my hair just gets so tangled... The other 2 options were damaged, (I thought this may weigh down my hair as my hair is as fine as fine can be) and Kinky which is for curly hair, of which I do not possess. Preparing the Product I was dubious about this product mainly as I don't tend to use hair oils as, again, it weighs down my hair, but I t...

Umberto Giannini Beauty Secrets

Image
Originally I was going to buy Umberto Giannini Indulgent Beauty Moisture mask from the Beauty Secrets range as I had used it before and loved it. However my hand swiftly moved to the Overnight Beauty Moisture Balm Leave-in Cream , thinking that as it was leave-in it would be more in keeping with my hair care regime (also part of the Beauty Secrets Range). When I went to bed I looked at the product and thought 'how is this going to work I will have to wash my hair tomorrow morning'. However I slap, dashed it on regardless and then woke up with greasy locks. I was some what disappointed and I headed to the shower to wash my hair, but I decided to keep going with this product as it was something I had never used before and sometimes it takes a bit of work to achieve what you want. The next night I used considerably less product, and I woke up with very smooth, tame and shiny hair. This is a prime example that less is more, I probably use a blob the size of 5 pe...

Mac's Red Balloon Lipstick

Image
After what seemed like years of working on my dissertation it was finally complete, and to celebrate I headed down to Mac Brighton to purchase a new shade of lippy I had been dying for. Recently Mac have bought out their Playland collection, a fun packed fantasy themed collection, in a variety of bright shades. With a mix of lipsticks, lip glasses, multi use casual colours, pigments and pencils, there is a lot to choose from.  Now I'm not even too sure what made me want to buy 'Red Balloon' so much, the actual shade of the lipstick; a hot fuchsia. Or the name of the product silly I know, but I think the name really swung it for me. I was imagining lots of red balloons in the sky floating off in a light breeze; yes I daydream a lot (don't burst my balloon and tell it will pop after 10 minutes in the sky!)  Anyway on with the post, Red Balloon lipstick is an amplified creme mac lipstick; for those of you who are un-sure to what amplifi...
