Jo Malone | English fields
There’s
nothing quite as exciting as when a beauty brand release limited editions. It’s
even more exciting when brands bring out packaging that looks completely
different to their normal collections.
Jo
Malone have done just that. The English fields collection is a beautiful
collection of pastel toned bottles with a mix of matte and sheen textures. This
is definitely a fragrance that you would want on your dressing table.
I
was lucky enough to attend a Jo Malone event in Chichester, and to try the
English Fields collection. With 5 fragrances to choose from there is something
for everyone. Although these scents are aimed for spring I can definitely see
these being perfect for summer too!
The
5 limited edition fragrances are all linked to the kind of blooms that you would find in a typical English field.
To
start with Honey and Crocus, this cologne is a rich and comforting scent with
honey, crocus and English lavender, which is also blended with almond
milk. Poppy
and barley is a lovely bright scent with a hint of blackcurrant added in to
give it a fruity feel, which is combined with white musk. Oat
and Cornflower - this cologne is most definitely my favourite bottle( the blue and grey one in the aboe picture). With
added hazelnut and vetiver to create a warm and sensual scent. Green
wheat and meadowsweet - this is quite a fresh scent with grapefruit added to
give the cologne its fresh scent. Primrose
and rye, with vanilla as a base and mimosa added in, it crates a lovely bright
and warm scent.
Out
of the 5 the primrose and rye was my favourite, it reminded me of summer
holidays and jetting off on a plane and I just fell in love with it. With my
favourite fragrance picked it was over to the hand and arm massage stand. Jo
Malone offer complimentary hand and arm massages, so if you’ve ever got a spare
5/10 minutes I would 100% go and get one. It’s great to learn about layering
and how to use the products. For my hand and arm massage, I had the Nectarine
Blossom and Honey body crème. Layered with the Nectarine Blossom and Honey
Cologne and followed with the Primrose and Rye Cologne. The arm massage was
amazing as usual. And the combination and layering of scent was lovely.
I
also learnt that spraying the back of your neck helps to gives burst of fragrance
through out the day. I’ve started doing this and I have definitely noticed a
difference, also spraying fragrance to the chest and (front) neck area can
speed up aging, which, I’m not down for at the moment. If you get the chance to
pop in store you definitely need to give these limited edition scents a
go!
We
also had got the chance to tie Jo Malone bows to our beautiful gift boxes,
which also had a ceramic tag, with our initials stamped on.
Massive
thanks to Jo Malone Chichester for hosting and as always making an event super
fun and to the Wild Mint Cafe for the beautiful snacks, and also to Katie who
helped to organise an amazing event!
