Illamasqua Satin Primer

About a 9 months I purchased this for a shoot and well, instead of being a good make up artist and leaving it in my make up kit where it belonged it some how ended up in my own personal make up bag whoops.

So anyway on with the review... I love this primer! Its my favourite!  So if you are a dewy skinned lover I would read on, if not, read on anyway because you need something to do and I don't want you getting bored.

Illamasqua's Satin Primer helps my makeup stay in place longer, I wouldn't say as long as some primers but the finish on this is amazing. It helps add dimension to my face and it highlights all the right bits, so the tops of my cheekbones, nose, and cupids bow all become more noticeable, but not in an unnatural way (if that makes sense). If you are using to much of this product your face will feel greasy and the foundation wont sit nicely, so ladies as always in the makeup world, less is more.

I don't normally use this primer on its own, I always apply foundation over the top of it, you don't have to but this is what I feel comfortable with. I have noticed that my blusher sits nicely with this primer, its hard to explain why it just seems to create more depth.

I can't say how it affects oily skin as I don't have oily skin however Illamasqua seem to do a good job at producing products which suit most skin types. For me I have slightly dry skin and I feel like this product is hydrating my skin while I wear it. This primer contains UVA and UVB filters which means we wont get burnt (hooray!). The only thing this product doesn't do is reduce pores as it doesn't contain silicone in it, but for me this isn't a major problem.

The only let down with this product is the packaging it looks great don't get me wrong. But its not that practical for getting the product out, I sometimes over squeeze the bottle and end up with too much product, however this wont stop me buying Illamasquas Satin Primer again.
