Lush Ultrabland Cleanser Review

Image
I used to bypass all the skincare in Lush and simply head for the bath bombs, but recently it's been the other way round. I know that Lush’s skincare has been around for donkey’s but when you first shop in Lush you go straight for the bath bombs, I guess because bath bombs are kind of an inexpensive treat (although £3.95 is kinda expensive for one bath - but whatever). And as skincare is not an inexpensive treat it can be a bit risky, if you don't like the product, that shit won't get used. I started using Lush skincare about a year ago when the water in my area started playing havoc with my skin (and lets be honest I can’t avoid water and found that the 9-5 cleanser was inoffensive on my skin and was at a good price tag (I think its like a fiver for 100ml). However I needed something slightly more calming and having seen Ultrabland pop up on my Instagram feed quite regularly I decided to try Ultra bland To start with this is more of a solid cleanser (9-5 is mor

Instagram Pods - What You Need To Know

Image
Instagram Pods have been flying around for a little while now, however I was only really aware of them in the New Year, but I think they were a 'thing' in mid 2016 I was just extremely slow to the party. So what is an Instagram Pod? An Instagram Pod is basically a group of Instagrammers, who all join group chat and proceed to like and comment on each others photos. But are Instagram pods really worth joining? Well yes and no. Lets go into the positives and the negatives... The Negatives You will have to be prepared to like and comment on everyones pictures in the group(s), which sometimes can be time consuming. Because you are engaging with certain accounts more than others then its more likely they will appear on your feed, rather than other accounts which you enjoy viewing,

My Current Skincare

I haven't done something like this in f-o-r-e-v-e-r. So I thought I would. Obviously, otherwise I wouldn't be writing this post!  I'm going to run through my current skincare that seems to be keeping my skin happy at the moment. Cleanser I know there are a lot of mixed reviews about Lush's 9-5 Cleanser but I really love it. It is perfect for my skin, which gets red and angry when I use anything to harsh. Lush's 9-5 contains Ylang Ylang oil which balances the skin, great for both dry and oily skin types. The Dove Orchid flowers which are in Lush's 9-5 are left in Almond oil over night which helps form the base of this cleanser. Almond oil is high in Vitamin E, which helps keeps the skin soft and supple. It is also great for cleansing as it dislodges dirt. The only down side to this cleanser is that it isn't that effective at removing eye makeup. I tend to go over with Liz Earle's Hot Cloth Cleanser around the eye area. T
