Outfit post | New Look Skirt

Image
From my recent Instagram posts I could imagine it's pretty obvious that I went on holiday, and whilst I didn't get many shots of the Sissi I did make my boyfriend an 'Instagram boyfriend' for a few days. This outfit was my favourite look from the trip. I picked up the pleated midi skirt from New look, as I had been dying to get way back in May. I managed to get this beauty in the sale. The crop top is from good old topshop last year.  I wanted to mix up textures with this look, but I also love how the pastel blue and vibrant coral work really well together.  I'm really looking forward to wearing this look again, I just need a fancy event to go too!  Top - Topshop (couldn't find anything similar!) Skirt - New look (Asos -  similar ) Heels - Miss Selfridge ( similar ) Hope you enjoyed this post!  Rosie  x If you like my blog posts why not have a look at my new Youtube ...

20 thoughts you have when you're 24 (or any age)

Image
So I think it's common knowledge to think that when you hit  24 you'll have everything in plan, everything figured out and organised, cept it's not. You tend to question life, and consider if you should be having a quarterly life crisis. So I compiled 20 thoughts I've had since turning 24 (okay anyone in their 20s). 1. You fully thought you'd have your dream job, with lots of money. And in reality you're questioning why you weren't scouted as some sort of child star. 2. Am I now in my mid twenties or my early twenties?!  3. Council tax or new shoes, council tax or new shoes?!? Council tax...being thrown out on the street doesn't sound too fun. Or having people round to take your stuff also doesn't sound fun either.... Maybe I'll resort to my student diet of cheese on toast so I can afford both. 4. Do I buy this super cute notebook, or a boring navy one to look more profesh?! ( and then buy the cute one because, duh personality)  5. You'd be a...

Benefit | Dew the Hoola | Review

Image
A liquid bronzer I hear you say? Now liquid bronzes aren't necessarily new too the beauty halls, but they are certainly becoming more popular, I've noticed lots of brands coming out with bronzing liquids. I decided to hop on the bandwagon and see whether a liquid bronzes was as scary/strange as I first thought. Having fallen in love with Benefits matte bronzer; Hoola I decided to give Benefit's Dew the Hoola a go. I did have this tried out at a counter before I purchased this, and I liked that it seemed like quite a versatile product, the girl demoing the product literally mixed it in to a foundation. Which I kind of liked, if I'm a rush it's nice to know I could potentially mix this product in to my foundation.  However if I have lots of time, I have been putting this on separately. I have applied this all over my face followed by my foundation, which I love doing. I also love using this as a base contour followed by my foundation, and then topped up wi...

Jamberry Nails

Image
First off, I do not plan on selling Jamberry nails or anything like that, I was kindly sent some of their nail wraps to try out. Having used nail wraps before and really not got along with them I was intrigued to give it another go to see if Jamberry were easier to apply. The Jamberry* nail wraps I received were stripped gold, something which I think would be perfect for anytime of the year. I like the idea that you can wear nail varnish underneath the wrap. As my nail wraps were clear and gold.  Applying them:  All I needed to get beautiful nails was a hair dryer, tweezers and nail file a cuticle pusher.  Once my nails were cleaned I began to choose which nail wrap would fit each nail, I went with the smaller size each to time as nail wraps don't stick well if they're slightly too big for the nail.  I simply gave each nail wrap a blast with the nail dryer and gently placed it on to my nail with the tweezers. I then used the cuticle pusher to seal the wrap and to che...

Nacho Boats | Healthy Eating

Image
Now, lets all remain calm at the fact that I have now blogged twice in 2 days (Ha I could totally take on that blogging once a day thing. Joking.). Today Im discussing food. More specifically healthy food. Now I hate being told what is good and bad for me, preferring to find these things out for myself, yes McDonalds is the best thing ever, but we all know its unhealthy. Then I started to look into other things which were deemed 'healthy', but aren't as healthy as they make out to be. That is were my best friend Pinterest comes in... Typing in healthy food on to Pinterest gave me lots of inspiration, making healthy food appears to be easier than I first thought . Although Nacho Boats may not be the most healthy thing ever, for me it's a step in the right directions.... this is coming from a girl who would quite happily eat popcorn for breakfast (sorry mum if you ever read this but... its better than having no breakfast!). I found this recipe on Pinterest ( original re...

Marc Jacobs Beauty #Instamarc Contour Palette

Image
Recently I took a trip to Nice, France and obviously popped into Sephora, and I flew over to the Marc Jacobs counter. As it was my first day there I didn't buy anything as I didn't really want to be out of spending money. Marc Jacobs Beauty #instamarc Dream Filter But...  I went back on my last day to pick it up and thankfully they had one contour kit in my shade left; Dream Filter which is a soft pink/medium matte bronze shade. I have been dying to try Marc Jacobs Beauty since it launched, and I'm going to be honest; I'm a bit of a cheap skate on postage. I know Marc Jacobs Beauty is being sold in Selfridges now which is handy... If I'm ever in London.  To start with, the colour of the contour shade is amazing. Dream Filter is the lightest shade. But thanks to its creamy texture makes it so buildable which for a contour product is great. You can easily achieve a day to day look, but also build it up too something slightly more dramat...

Brighton Blog Meet

Image
Last Saturday I went to my first blog meet at The Globe in Brighton which was organised by Laura from Lolaandbehold . I was literally questioning my life when I got off the train at Brighton and was in two minds whether to turn back. However, I decided to tell myself not to be a wimp. It was great to finally meet bloggers who I follow on social media channels and bloglovin'! And it was really cool to meet the person behind the blog. I also met a lot of new faces and blogs which I am excited to follow and engage with. T here was an ice breaker to begin with, which was fun, although I kind of failed as I didn't have a pen. So my ice breaker was literally 'I don't have a pen can I borrow yours to write your blog name down.' As well as 30ish bloggers were 3 brands; Homage, Snact, and Pure potions. All of which were super interesting. Homage is a Brighton based home store who stock everything you would need to make your home gorgeous, with vibes ...
